Back to just the two of us

Kids left at 3:30am yesterday---since then we have been cleaning, washed 8 sheets and at least two million towels, plus all the stuff that didn't get done last week.it was so nice having them here. they went to the beach, to Mexico, to all the malls and army surplus stores, we ate in and out, had so many snacks, candy, cheese balls etc.went to church on Sunday and they asked our daughter in law to play for the service (piano) and our son to have the prayer. our kids and grand kids all have no qualms to pray aloud in public---and what is nice you can hear them!

yesterday we took time to pull a "Paula" ----we took a ride. we ate breakfast at a Whataburger" and when we left J erry said, "lets just drive north and see where we get to"---so we did---and we turned west and east and saw farms and animals and sugar cane fields being burned and lots of beautiful houses and lots of very poor shacks, falling down ,places where people lived and more. I finally got out the Garmin" and put our home address in and it led us home. those are amazing things.

today I had a wonderful surprise---the cable worked---I have been on dial up and it is so slow, I hate it.

I have to write a Christmas letter and send it to all the ones who sent us cards---they are still coming. I just didn't feel well enough to do the cards this year. I usually have them addressed in November.

son called---they are leaving home at 3am--they hope to stay in norman, oklahoma and be here sunday----have been busy all day--washing, cleaning ,cooking.the tree is up.mother will soon be down. we cleaned out 4 drawers so they can unpack and put their suitcases in the shed. hopefully they will not be bring so many toys as they did when they were younger. and not so many clothes----i tell our guests that we do have awasher and dryer, so they don't need much. this is a verrrrrry small house. praying for nice weather so we can eat and be out on the deck a lot. in the am just have the clean linen to put on our bed----we always give up our bed and sleep in the living room.will wash the bedspread in the am too. right now gonna look at africam and see a few animals---and then to bed.

CHRISTMAS IS ACOMIN'

HUBBY HAD LIVING ROOM ALL TIDIED UP---THEN WE DECIDED TO GET OUT THE CHRISTMAS TREE----WHAT A MESS IT IS NOW--WOW. IN THE 21 YEARS WE HAVE BEEN COMING TO TEXAS IN THE WINTER WE HAVE AMASSED A LOT OF STUFF. MUCH OF IT CHRISTMAS STUFF. WE ARE ON OUR THIRD TREE---THIS ONE A 4FOOT WHITE ONE WITH THE LIGHTS ALREADY ATTACHED----SO I HAVE A ZILLION STRINGS OF LIGHTS NO LONGER USED--YEARS AGO I STARTED PUTTING SMALL PICTURES OF THE 7 GRAND KIDS IN LITTLE GOLD COLORED FRAMES---THEN FOUND SOME CUTE FANCIER FRAMES ON SALE AND BOUGHT UP A DOZEN OF THEM (ONLY TWO OF THOSE EVER GOT PICTURES PUT IN).AND GARLANDS, HAVE MILES OF SILVER STUFF AND GREEN FAKE STUFF AND BEADS--OH MY. JERRY KEPT SAYING WE NEED TO TAKE THIS STUFF BACK AND GIVE IT TO THE KIDS OR THROW IT OUT. AFTER I PUT THE TREE TOGETHER AND MADE A NICE MESS WITH ALL THE OTHER STUFF WE DECIDED TO LET IT ALL SIT AND GO TO DENNY'S FOR SUPPER----AND WE DID!!

weather changes

was 85 today--beautiful---we sat on the deck and played dominoes---then "bang" it dipped to 40---to get to the 30's tonight. had left over soup tonight for 3rd nite in a row---getting better every time--haha--really it is. last nite added some beans and tonight a little more cabbage and tomato juice and can of corn. reminded me if when jerry was in the army out on manuvers and i made some soup with hamberger for myself and kept it on the back burner--had it for a couple days and then neighbor came over---her hubby was gone too---she ate the whole pot of soup!!

pollen of some sort must be in the air--been coughing and wheezing all day and haven't done that in a long time. tomorrow comes early---have minnesota breakfast to go to--so will say good night.

A QUIET DAY

WENT TO MCD'S FOR BREAKFAST AND THEN TO CHURCH. HAD 18 THERE TODAY, COUPLE MORE THAN LAST WEEK. AFTER CHRISTMAS THE PEOPLE FROM THE NORTH COME IN BIGGER NUMBERS AND AFTER NY'S THEY ALL GET HERE. SO FAR WE ARE THE 1ST TO BE AT CHURCH---WE ARE ALWAYS THE LAST TO GO BACK. NINE OF US OUT TO EAT TOGETHER. STILL HAVING TROUBLE TYPING WITH LEFT HAND---MAKE SO MANY MISTAKES.BEAUTIFUL WEATHER TODY--SAT ON DECK AND PLAYED DOMINOES--I WON----AGAIN!!!!HAD TO CALL BROTHER IN SAN ANTONIO TO TELL WE CAN'T COME FOR CHRISTMAS SINCE OUR KIDS ARE COMING. WOULD REALLY HAVE LOVED TO GO THERE---HAVEN'T BEN TOGTHDR FOR HOLIDAYS IN MANY YEARS.
XUPPER TIME--AD I AM TGIRED OF COFREWCTING EVDRYTHING I TYPE. BYE VOF NOW.

THURSDAY

AND ALL DAY I THOUGHT IT WAS FRIDAY!! IT IS ALMOST 11:30PM---THE MASTER OF THE HOUSE IS SNORING AWAY--I JUST WATCHED A GOOD MOVIE--AND JUST ABOUT READY FOR BED MYSELF. WE WENT OUT TO A MEXICAN RESTAURANT FOR BREAKFAST THIS AM AND THEN TOOK A RIDE AROUND TOWN TO SEE WHAT CHANGES THERE ARE FROM LAST YEAR. IT WAS STILL COOL/COLD THIS AM, BUT WARMED UP SOME BY AFTERNOON AND JERRY GOT THE TRUCK ALL CLEANED.
HAD A LATE AFTERNOON VISITOR--A NURSE FRIEND---SO DIDN'T WANT TO START COOKING SO LATE(HA HA) SO OF COURSE WE WENT OUT FOR SUPPER.NOW TOMORROW I HAVE TO COOK----OR SOME OF THE GROCERIES I BOUGHT THIS WEEK WILL SPOIL.
I REALLY HOPE TO GET BACK WRITING ABOUT MY "JOURNEY,CHILD OF DIVORCE," AGAIN. I HAD PRINTED THE 1ST 20 ENTRIES, BUT THINK THERE WERE MORE THAT I LOST. I KNOW I WAS UP TO GOING BACK TO MINNESOTA FROM CALIFORNIA---SO WILL TRY TO TAKE UP FROM THERE.

GRANDSON GOT OUT OF NEPAL JUST A DAY BEFORE ALL THE FIGHTING AND KILLING. THEY HAD QUITE AN EXPERIENCE CLIMBING THE MOUNTAINS ETC. NOT A TRIP I WOULD LIKE---HE IS NOW BUSY WRITING COLLEGES . HE IS GOING AFTER A PHD AND HAS 5 YEARS UNDER HIS BELT NOW. HE HAD ME READ ONE OF HIS PAPERS FOR HIS MASTER'S AND THERE WAS NOT TOO MUCH I UNDERSTOOD!! FUNNY HOW YOU TEACH THESE KIDS SO MUCH AND ALL OF A SUDDEN THEY ARE TEACHING YOU.
THIS IS BECOMING JUST RAMBLING--SO WILL CLOSE AND GO TO BED.

A FEW MORE GROCERIES

TODAY WE WENT TO SUPER WALMART---I ALWAYS THINK OF LISA WHEN WE GO THERE. IT WAS COLD AND BLUSTERY OUTSIDE, SO THOT IT A GOOD DAY TO SHOP INSIDE. GOT A HALF HAM AND A TURKEY BREAST AND A FEW OTHER THINGS. TRYING TO FIGURE OUT AT LEAST ONE MEAL A DAY WHILE KIDS ARE HERE--AND THE REST CAN BE SANDWICHES ETC.
WHEN THE BOYS WERE LITTLE WE ALWAYS HAD A REAL CHRISTMAS MORNING WITH STOCKINGS, GIFTS ETC..BUT THIS YEAR WE TOLD THEM WE WOULD HAVE A NICE DINNER--BUT MAYBE WOULD GO TO THE BEACH OR SOMETHING---NO SANTA.
THEY ALWAYS HAVE "CHRISTMAS" IN MN WITH DAUGHTER IN LAW'S SIDE BEFORE THEY COME DOWN, AND THIS YEAR WE GAVE OUT ALL THE GIFTS AT THANKSGIVING TIME. JERRY AND I PLAN TO TAKE A TOUR THIS WINTER AND MAYBE EVEN A CRUISE IF WE CAN AFFORD IT---SO PROBABLY WON'T REALLY GIVE GIFTS.WE HAD SUCH A ROTTEN SUMMER, WITH SO MUCH TIME SPENT IN CLINICS AND HOSPITALS---WE DIDN'T GO ANYWHERE OR DO ANYTHING EXCEPT THE ALMOST DAILY RIDE AROUND TOWN.
WE ARE SUPPOSE TO HAVE A FREEZE TONIGHT--IT HAS BEEN COLD ALL DAY--AND WINDY. YESTERDAY WAS 85 AND SO NICE OUT. THE WIND HIT LAST EVENING AND REALLY RATTLED THE STUFF ON THE DECK.
THE BUG MAN CAME TODAY AND SPRAYED AROUND AND UNDER THE HOUSE--SO HOPEFULLY WE WON'T GET ANY ANTS OR OTHER CRITTERS.
IT IS ALMOST MIDNIGHT, SO BETTER HIT THE HAY---HAVE TO GO TO THE BANK TOMORROW AND GET ADDRESS CHANGED ETC. GOODNIGHT ALL

GETTING SETTLED--ALMOST

WENT TO SAM'S CLUB TODAY AND SPENT 225.65 ON STUFF.TRYING TO GET THINGS READY FOR WHEN SON AND HIS FAMILY GET HERE IN A FEW DAYS. THEIR TWO BOYS EAT A LOT, THEY ARE BOTH FOOTBALL PLAYERS AND HAVE TO KEEP UP THEIR ENERGY, YA KNOW!! THE OLDEST, ALMOST 20 IS 6-5, WEIGHS 230 AND DOESN'T HAVE AN OUNCE OF FAT ON HIM!! THE YOUNGEST IS 14 AND STILL GROWING---WILL SOON BY 6 FEET. WE FEEL LIKE MIDGETS ALONG SIDE THEM---WELL NOT QUITE.

FINALLY GOT MY COMPUTER HOOKED UP TO CABLE. THE CABLE GUY HAD A TIME, BUT FINALLY GOT IT DONE--SEEMS OUR TV AND COMPUTER ARE HOOKED TO TWO DIFFERENT BOXES. IT IS SOOOO NICE TO HAVE IT RUN SO FAST AND BE ABLE TO SEE VIDEOS AND HEAR THINGS AGAIN. CAN'T DO EITHER ON MY DIAL UP IN MN.
RIGHT NOW HAVE TO GO FIX SOMETHING FOR SUPPER.

no sleep tonight

just can't seem to get comfortable tonight. only things that don't hurt are my knees and my left foot!! and when I can't sleep my mind goes round and round, remembering things, thinking of things I need to do---like the Christmas letter and addressing cards, ordering something from LL Beans for hubby, calling insurance company to take insurance off the old car that we left home in the garage,making doctor appointments or the two of us, opening new bank account because I got in a huff and closed the one we had because an employee mistakenly told me 10,000 dollars was the minimum amount we should keep in the checking account and charged us 6 dollars because we didn't. (i wish i had gotten his name---but i did write the bank at the time---and they never wrote back---grrrrrrr. I took two tylenol, but they didn't do a thing, even counted steps--nothing---but it is after 2am and have so much to do in the morning that I better at least lie down again. I hear jerry getting up to go for his 3 mile walk around the park---stupid time I know--but if he is awake around now he goes "to get it over with"-----maybe with him out of the bed I might get to sleep before he gets back!

we made it here on wednesday after great time in southern mn with the entire family. having trouble with phone again and still have to get connected to cable for computer.laundry basket overflowing---so once i get at that will be back on journal.still not able to get in to neilisha's blog--bye for now---barb

PILES ARE GETTING SMALLER---BAGS ARE GETTING FULLER--WASHING MACHINE EMPTY--BEDS MADE--DISHES DONE--TEMPERS CALM--PUTTING COMPUTER IN THE CASE SOON-----ONE TRIP TO BANK AND DRUG STORE TO GO AND SON TO PICK UP LEFT OVER FOOD IN FRIG--AND OFF WE GO. WILL TRY AND WRITE FROM DAUGHTER'S IN SOUTHERN MN. HAPPY THANKSGIVING TO YOU ALL!!!!

THE USUAL (AHEM) DISAGREEMENT BROKE OUT TONIGHT. ONE YEAR IT DIDN'T HAPPEN AND THE KIDS WERE WORRIED THE WHOLE TIME WE WERE GONE THAT SOMETHING BAD WOULD HAPPEN. BY NOW I AM SO TIRED THAT I DON'T CARE IF WE GO OR NOT. IN FACT I OFFERED TO LET JERRY GO AND I WOULD STAY HERE ALONE.

SUNDAY NIGHT-

IT IS ALMOST 11PM AND I HAVE BOTH THE DISHWASHER AND THE CLOTHES WASHER GOING. JERRY IS ASLEEP ON THED COUCH---HIS USUAL PLACE IF HE IS IN THE HOUSE. THERE ARE THREE SUITCASES OPEN ON THE LIVING ROOM FLOOR--ONLY FILLED WITH UNDERWEAR SO FAR. HAVE OUR IMPORTANT PAPERS PACKED---HAVE THE FRIG TO DO YET AND HAVE TO GIVE AWAY SOME FOOD---THEN WE TURN OFF THE WATER AN LOCK UP WE WILL BE ABLE TO BE ON OUR WAY. YESTERDAY I COOKED FOUR BAGS OF CRANBERRIES TO TAKE FOR DINNER ON THURSDAY. DAUGHTER PROBABLY HAS ANOTHER 25 POUND TURKEY PLUS A TURKEY BREAST. THERE IS ALWAYS PLENTY OF FOOD AND PLENTY OF PEOPLE! AFTER DINNER THE GRANDKIDS PUT ON THEIR SHOW AND SANTA COMES TO VISIT TOO. OUR SON IN LAW ALWAYS MISSES SEEING SANTA----KIDS THINK HE HAS BEEN CALLED TO THE HOSPITAL OR SOMETHING----WELL, NOW DAYS THEY KNOW WHY, BUT WHEN THEY WERE LITTLE THEY THOUGHT THAT.

OUR STEW AT CHURCH WAS GOOD TODAY. ALL THE CLASSES BRING VEGGIES ETC AND THE CHURCH PROVIDES THE MEAT----WE COULD SMELL IT COOKING DURING THE SERVICE. THEY EVEN HAD PUMPKIN PIE AND SOME OTHER DESSERTS.

IT WAS A GOOD DAY!

SATURDAY NIGHT

LAST NIGHT YOUNGEST SON AND FAMILY CAME OVER TO SIT AND TALK AND TELL US GOODBYE AND TONIGHT OLDEST ONE DID. OF COURSE WE WILL SEE THEM IN A FEW DAYS DOWN IN ROCHESTER AT OUR DAUGHTERS---BUT THEY LIKE TO SEE HOW FAR WE ARE READY---NOT MUCH. WE HAD PLANNED TO PACK OUR OVER NIGHT CASES TODAY, BUT GOT INVOLVED IN A GOOD MOVIE ON TV---SO THAT JOB POSTPONED UNTIL TOMORROW AFTERNOON----MAYBE---WE HAVE THE ANNUAL THANKSGIVING STEW AT CHURCH TOMORROW SO WILL BE LATE GETTING HOME FROM CHURCH---WELL, HOPEFULLY WE WILL BE ABLE TO LEAVE BY TUESDAY MORNING AS PLANNED.
IT IS STILL COLD HERE AND SNOW ON THE GROUND. PICKUP WAS SO DIRTY FROM DEER CAMP THAT JERRY DID TAKE IT TO CAR WASH, BUT WAS TOO COLD TO CLEAN OUT THE INSIDE----SO WILL DO THAT SOMEWHERE SOUTH.

a good day

WEATHER IS COLD AND GETTING COLDER. SLIPPERY LAYER OF SNOW ON THE GROUND, MAKING JUMPING (HAHA) INTO OUR BIG PICKUP A CHORE. FIRST HAVE TO GET RIGHT FOOT ON THE RUNNING BOARD WHILE STANDING ON LEFT FOOT IN THE SNOW, SLIPPING AND SLIDING,GRABBING THE HANDLE, GETTING LEFT FOOT AND BUTT IN--FINALLY PULLING IN RIGHT LEG. I ALWAYS SAY IT IS LIKE SWINGING IN LIKE A MONKEY! AND THAT IS MORE TRUTH THAN FICTION.
CHURCH WAS GOOD, IN FACT GREAT, WE HAVE SUCH A TALENTED MAN AS OUR NEW PASTOR. HE IS STUDYING FOR HIS PHD---AND THAT WORRIES US, FOR FEAR THAT HE WILL WANT TO TEACH AT A UNIVERSITY OR SOMETHING. I WOULD LIKE HIM TO BE HERE UNTIL AFTER OUR FUNERALS -----AT LEAST THAT LONG!!
WE WENT OUT TO EMBERS FOR OUR NOON MEAL WITH SEVERAL FRIENDS AND SPENT OVER ANOTHER HOUR VISITING. THEN HOME, SUNDAY AFTERNOON NAP AND THEN SUPPER OF LEFT OVERS IN THE FRIG.
NOW THE COUNT DOWN REALLY STARTS---WE MUST GET BUSY AND GET READY TO GO TO TEXAS. EACH YEAR WE TELL OURSELVES IT SHOULD BE EASY--JUST UP AND GO---BUT SEEMS THERE ARE MORE CALLS TO MAKE AND THINGS TO SECURE BEFORE WE GO.
ONE THING, ANY WHO PRAY, I COULD USE A FEW ABOUT MY LEFT HAND. I JUST CAN'T TYPE WITH IT AND MAKE WHAT I TYPE RIGHT WITHOUT GOING BACK AND DELETING EXTRA LETTERS ETC.

TO ME THIS IS WEDNESDAY NITE AS I HAVEN'T GONE TO BED YET. I REALLY GOT BUSY TODAY---WASHED ALL THE STUFF IN THE HAMPERS, PLUS THREE BLANKETS AND 2 PILLOWS----THE WHITE STUFF IS SOAKING OVER NITE WITH BLEACH-- I ALSO CLEANED UP THE KITCHEN--SO WILL RUN THE VACUUM IN THE AM AND WILL BE READY FOR HUBBY TO GET HOME ON FRIDAY. HE WILL NEVER KNOW HOW LAZY I HAVE BEEN SINCE HE LEFT--HAHA. OOPS, I ALSO PAID BILLS AND GAVE THEM TO THE MAILMAN. NITE NITE

another quiet day

soon i am going to have to turn on the energy and get some house work done before Jerry comes home and asks what i have been doing!!
i was going to sleep upstairs tonight, but since i have a TV here in the den , i stayed here. it is handy when i wake up so often at night to turn it on and let it lull me back to sleep.once in a while there is a good movie, but most of the late nite stuff is infomercials. didn't know there was so much makeup,exercise machines, and cooking equipment.jack lalanne still on with his juicer---almost tempted to get one and quit cooking all together!! i remember when he was on 50 years ago and i tried doing his exercises each am with my kids. wish i had kept it up.
well it is 1am, no matter what time will be put on here--so need to get to bed--
oh, yes, forgot to say that daughter in law went to Chinese buffet and brought me huge take out of food and big container of the sweet and sour and hot soup!! enough for couple days. hubby and boys called tonight--one deer gotten and several seen.

Sunday 9:34 pm

Today was a good day---quiet for most of it, but nice anyhow.Since Sunday is suppose to be a day of rest I feel no guilt for doing nothing--haha.
I got up early as I knew my daughter in law would be calling to see if i wanted her to pick me up for church. I got ready, fixed my hair, which i had washed last nite and waited. sure enough she called and came and got me about 9;45.
smallest number in Church since we have been back---many of men and some families out deer hunting. Our new young pastor ---47, but that seems young to me--sang. it was the 1st time i have heard him and he has a beautiful voice!! He also preaches a terrific sermon. We are so lucky to have him. In the last 50 years we have had a couple that put you to sleep as soon as they started. My husband is hard of hearing---and also of understanding---so i have had to constantly jab him to at least look like he is listening!! I hope we can keep this pastor for the rest of our lives--which won't be too many years down the road.After church my two daughter in laws and grandaughter went out to lunch and a good visit. they brought me home and i had a nice nap in my chair!!

Son #1 called on his radio--to our phone last night---they had eaten all 22 of the enchiladas and enjoyed them. I wonder how many of them had heart burn during the night.
It is almost 10 so think I will turn in---maybe tomorrow i will accomplish a little around here.

Saturday am 1:31 am

I put the time in the subject line cuz it always shows up wrong---there is no rhyme or reason--we are on CST and the time google says it is must be in some other country!!

Today i got up really early and did not much. son called on citizen band radio to tell me dad had forgotten a bunch of stuff. luckily youngest son was going up tonight so he picked up the stuff, plus the 22 enchiladas. i have a cake pan that holds 2 cake mixes--and it is full--so heavy i could hardly lift it out of the oven. they will set the pan on the top of the wood barrel stove to warm up.

i really planned to do laundry today---but will do later (really today--as it is SAT already).i try to get everything in the house washed while jerry is gone--blankets and all. that way we are ready to go south soon after he gets back. we have to be in southern MN for thanksgiving----and they already have snow---ugh. we will sneak out early the sunday after the holiday. jerry is always anxious to leave before daylight--i told him some time i would like to see that scenery in the light!!

oh,my, i am yawning so much can hardly see----so guess i better take my pills and get to bed---night all!!

1st day of being alone

Jerry left about 7am to go to the hunting shack. he likes to go up there alone for a couple days before the sons and grandsons get there. of course that is always a worry to me. he had a heart attack many years ago and while he seems to be in good condition and takes care of himself, he is there ALONE, with no way to communicate or anything. i told him if he has another, he should know he probably will die. i am always so glad when at least one of the boys gets there. deer season starts on Saturday am---so until then the guys will get up the wood for the barrel stove, play cards and talk. i am so glad there is no booze or smoking in their group, but the hunters in the woods with guns and alcohol in their bodies are the ones that scare me. the ones who make "sound" shots---they shoot at sounds instead of seeing the animal. I pray many times a day for God to put a hedge of safety around them as they walk in the woods.
I accomplished nothing today except to change the bed I have been sleeping in here in the den.tomorrow I have to make a big pan of enchiladas for #2 son to pick up and take up to camp.plus I have to start getting things ready to leave for texas soon after Jerry gets home. I fell asleep in the chair all evening, which I guess is allowed when you are as old as I am. now I am going to hit the hay again and hope I can sleep some more.. ------over and out for now.

I think i have a computer like no one else has--why are not my buttons in the same place as my teacher's? i have been chasing around the computer searching for the time changer---time is correct in the right hand corner---but the time put on blog entries and comments is wrong--EST is only 1 hour ahead of us, but shows 3 hours different. guess it doesn't really make any difference--so will ignore that one---

SUNDAY AFTERNOON

I AM STILL TRYING TO FIND MY WAY AROUND THIS NEW AREA OF BLOGGING. HAVE TROUBLE FINDING THING TO CLICK ON TO MKE Z NEW POZXT.(CAN ANYONE KNOW WHZT I JUSXT ROTE WITHOUT ME OING BACK N TAKING OUT EXTRA LETTRX ETC. ) I CANNOT BELIDVD WHZT MY LEFT HAN DOEX. I WAS--AND I MEAN WS--A GOOD TYPIZXT---AND COULD GO AT A PETTY FAIR CLIP. I CANNOT UNERSTANC HOSW MY FINGERS HIT THE RONG KEDYS, ADD KEYX AND OMEDTIMEZ MAKE A WORD THAT DOEN'T EVEN RESEMBLS WSHZT I ZAM TRYING TO SAY. GOOD NEWS FROM NEPAL

JUST GOT TRAVEL LOG BLOG FROM GROUP ON NEPAL THAT GRANDSON JOE IS WITH. THEY HAVE COME DOWN THE MOUNTAIN. THANK GOD FOR THAT. THEY WERE ABLE TO POST A COUPLE TIMES ON THE TRIP UP AND IT SOUNDED LIKE NOT MUCH FUN TO ME. FOR INSTANCE THEY SAID IT HAD WARMED UP---TO ABOUT ZERO !!!NOW EVEN IN MINNESOTA THAT ISN'T WARMING UP MUCH. THEY SLEPT IN 2 MAN TENTS LAST NITE IN A YAK FIELD.HMMMMMMM. EXCUSE CAPS, BUT MY SHIFT KEY IS BROKEN AND NOW THAT I HAVE TO TYPE WITH RIGHT HAND ONLY MAKES IT HARD. AM DRESSED AND READY TO GO TO A BABY SHOWER AS SOON AS DAUGHTER IN LAW GETS HERE. this wll take me a long time

i am a slow learner since i have gotten old----had heck of a time figuring how to write new post. clicked next blog at top of page and got picture of some cats, along with text in chinese. i am afraid i have lost somefriends. when i read each new blog i attempted to enter it in my favorites--each time i got message that i already had an item by that name----so some of the blogs/journals i added a number to them---those i can pull up---if i did not, you have vanished. if anyone finds me---please make it so i can find you. barb

well, i am back---maybe---my 1st try at a 2nd entry had me giving my name, password etc. all over again. i hope that will not be the way we have to go.i am now home alone and it is creepy--so many sounds in the night that i don't hear when jerry is home. no fun cooking either--am cleaning cupboards and washing clothes--not too much fun in either of those, but have to get done before we head south for the winter.

this is the 2nd post i have made---don't know where the 1st one went. don't know where my aol journal went---i don't think it transferred. i am tired of the entire process and just plain tired anyhow. husband and sons off to the hunting shack and i am home alone for several days---going to sleep late in am---i hope!!
